With our delightful Honulele Retreat package, we promise you a high level of indulgence. Experience every facet of our Hawaiian Spa, elevated above the treetops – because that’s how we believe a day spa should be!
Honulele Retreat is a day spa/morning spa/evening spa package that begins with two hours of access to Honulele Spa, where you sink into our 38-degree infinity pool, enjoy the hot sauna and take in the panoramic view in front of a crackling fire in the cosy spa lounge. When you start to feel hungry, you can order something from our lounge menu, which offers spa breakfast, Hawaiian poké bowls, healthy toasts, smoothies and much more.
Afterwards, our guided Aloha Spa Ritual awaits, taking you (and a group of up to 7 other people) on a journey through the Hawaiian islands in the form of different stations where you, under guidance, carry out a series of treatments on yourself with nourishing products from L:A Bruket. How about a sea salt foot bath, a body scrub and enjoying the stillness of our warm lagoon, lit only by torchlight? The very best way to end Aloha Spa Ritual is in one of our relaxation areas, letting your senses rest, tucked into our comfortable loungers with endless panoramic views over the fields of Skåne…

PS! Feel free to book a rejuvenating treatment or access to our VIP room in Honulele Spa Lounge (not included in the price). Would you like to eat something from the Honulele Lounge menu after your spa visit? As we want to keep a relaxed atmosphere, you can only eat in the spa lounge before Aloha Spa Ritual, while wearing your bathrobe. Once your visit is over and you have changed, we therefore direct you to our cosy outdoor seating if the weather allows. There are also a couple of tables in our cosy glass entrance for bad weather.

What is the Aloha Spa Ritual?▾
A journey through the tropical islands of Hawaii – in seven steps. A sea salt foot bath, body scrub, aromatic steam, the stillness of the warm lagoon lit by torchlight, a two-part aufguss in the cedar sauna and the air therapy room Makani Kai. In every step you use nourishing products from COSMOS-certified L:A Bruket. Aloha!
Can I visit the spa without the ritual?▾
Absolutely! With Honulele Day Spa you get four hours with the infinity pool, the sauna and the cold plunge entirely at your own pace – SEK 495, including bathrobe, slippers and towel plus entry to Honulele Gym.
Where is the spa and how do I get there?▾
High up on the Romeleåsen ridge, 167 metres above sea level, with endless views over the fields of Skåne. You are here in 30 minutes from Malmö, 20 from Lund and about an hour from Copenhagen – yet it feels like another world.
Is there food and drink in the spa?▾
Of course! In the spa lounge, Hawaiian poké bowls, smoothies and delicious toasts await – have a look at the Honulele Lounge menu. And when evening comes, Restaurant Heaven serves A Dinner Less Ordinary, our four-course menu, every evening from 5:30 pm.
Can I combine the spa with an overnight stay?▾
Turn the day into a whole getaway! With The Treetop Escape you have access to Honulele Spa from check-in, enjoy A Dinner Less Ordinary in Restaurant Heaven, sleep soundly high above the treetops and finish with breakfast and spa access until 11 am the next day. A Getaway Less Ordinary!
What is the temperature of the pool?▾
A lovely 38 degrees – all year round. Outdoors, with the treetops as your closest neighbour and the fields of Skåne far below. And after the sauna, the cold plunge awaits – then back into the warmth.
What is the age limit in the spa?▾
The age limit in Honulele Spa is 12 years, accompanied by an adult.
When can I come – morning spa, day spa or evening spa?▾
Every day! Come here for a morning spa, day spa or evening spa – you choose your session directly in the booking. Book your time in advance here.
I have a gift card from a third-party provider, can I upgrade my day spa package to Honulele Retreat?▾
No, the gift card is only valid for the package stated on your card. But you are welcome to add the Aloha Spa Ritual before, during or after your day spa for SEK 595 per person.
Important to know▾
✓ Honulele Hawaiian Spa in Skåne is beautifully located at The Lodge on top of the Romeleåsen ridge in Skåne. By car it takes only about 30 minutes from Malmö, 40 minutes from Ystad and 1 hour from Helsingborg to get here, and Österlen is just a stone’s throw away. Find us on the map here
✓ The car park is right below the beautiful beech-lined hill leading up to The Lodge and Honulele Spa. You can drive up to drop off passengers who are unable to walk up on their own, and then drive down and park again. We have 8 spaces for charging electric cars (E.on 22 kWh) in the car park.
✓ Come straight up to Honulele Spa’s own reception to announce your arrival. You will find our entrance in the cosy garden on the right-hand side of the hotel building The Treetop Lodges. Before entering the spa area, please take off your shoes and leave them on the shoe racks outside the entrance. Alternatively, you can take your shoes into the changing rooms and lock them in there. Please note that we take no responsibility for lost or misplaced shoes.
✓ All you need to bring is swimwear. Bathrobe, slippers, towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap and body lotion (from L:A Bruket) are provided on site. We have a range of products for both face and body, and also swimwear for sale in case you have forgotten your own. Swimwear is mandatory in Honulele Spa, and it is important that you wash your hygiene zones with soap before entering the spa area. Burkinis are allowed; otherwise no clothing other than swimwear (which is mandatory) is allowed in our pools.
✓ The time you have booked is your arrival time at Honulele Spa. You start by enjoying our 38-degree infinity pool, the refreshing plunge pool lounge and our hot sauna. Honulele Spa also has a spa café with a bar where you can buy drinks, breakfast, coffee and cake, poké bowls, platters of exotic fruit and much more before your ritual begins.
✓ Two (2) hours after your start time it is time to enter Aloha Spa Ritual, a guided spa ritual in which one of our experienced spa hosts helps you and the rest of the group (6-8 people per group) settle in through the different spa experiences. The ritual ends with around 30 minutes of relaxing rest in The Nest.
✓ Do I need to tell you about allergies, medication or pregnancy when booking a treatment or spa ritual? Yes, it is always good for the therapist to know this in advance in case any part of the treatment or any products need to be replaced.
✓ Celebrating something extra special? Then you can add our spectacular VIP Room for your two hours in Honulele Spa before the ritual (price SEK 795). Besides the exclusivity of the room and your very own exit to the infinity pool, it also includes a glass of sparkling wine each and a platter of exotic fruit. Can be booked for up to 4 people. ✓ We have a 12-year age limit throughout Honulele Spa
✓ We want a quiet and calm environment for all our spa guests. Please speak softly, put any mobile phones in flight mode and respect that other guests do not wish to appear in photographs from our spa.
✓ We are located 167 metres above sea level with endless views over the fields below us. We are also right on Skåneleden, and recommend that you start or end your visit to Honulele Spa with an invigorating forest walk on one of the beautiful trails we have here.
✓ Bookings for 6 people or fewer can be cancelled free of charge until 12:00 noon the day before arrival. After that, full payment is charged. For groups of 7 people or more, the following cancellation rules apply:
- If you cancel later than 1 week before arrival, 50% of the cancellation value is charged.
- If you cancel later than 12:00 noon the day before arrival, 100% of the cancellation value is charged.
Cancellations must always be made by email to honulelespa@thelodge.se to be valid. Your cancellation is valid once you have received a cancellation number from us by email. Please note that rebooking counts as cancellation.
