FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions
When can we check in and out?
Rooms are guaranteed to be ready by 2:00 PM, after which you can check in. If you plan to arrive after 6:00 PM, we appreciate if you inform us in advance. Latest check-out time on the day of departure is 11:00 AM.
Can I pay with cash?
No, The Lodge is completely cash-free. We accept most major credit cards and Swish.
What time is breakfast served?
Breakfast times are listed on your confirmation. Normally, we serve a breakfast buffet between 7:00-9:30 AM on weekdays and between 8:00-10:00 AM on weekends, holidays, and during the summer period.
What parking options are available?
We offer free outdoor parking just below the hill leading up to the hotel. However, you are welcome to drive all the way up to the hotel to drop off luggage and passengers. We have a handicapped parking spot close to the hotel; please contact us in advance if you wish to use it. A contracted security company patrols the parking area at night, but we recommend not leaving valuables visible in the car.
Can I charge my electric car?
Our parking area has four charging stations (E.ON) with the capability to charge up to eight electric cars. Remember to bring your own charging cable (not available at The Lodge).
How many rooms are there at The Lodge?
We have 22 double rooms, totaling 44 beds. The Treetop Lodge has 12 double rooms and one suite, all with a fantastic view of the Scanian landscape to the west. There are also nine cabins (separate small houses), three of which are completely detached and the remaining six are paired with a small veranda between them. All cabins are surrounded by greenery and connected to the rest of the facility by illuminated wooden walkways. All our rooms have the same standard but are decorated in different themes. The suite has a bathtub.
What is the difference between the rooms in The Treetop Lodge and the Cabins?
In The Treetop Lodge, there are 12 double rooms and one suite. They are approximately 25 sqm and have a desk, an armchair or rocking chair, and a wardrobe for clothes.
The suite is approximately 35 sqm and features a fantastic bay window in front of the bed, offering a panoramic view of the Scanian landscape right from the moment you wake up. It is also the only room with a bathtub, and both the bathtub and shower are located in the middle of the room. There is a separate WC.
Our nine cabins are connected to the rest of the area via illuminated wooden walkways. Each cabin has a unique color scheme, with wallpaper and textiles from Lexington’s latest collection. Cabin numbers 14, 15, and 16 are closest to the main building and are completely detached, while cabins 17-22 are semi-detached with small verandas between them. The cabins are approximately 18 sqm and, unlike the rooms in The Treetop Lodge, do not have desks, only a rocking chair. We do not recommend extra beds in our cabins due to limited floor space.
Are there any triple rooms?
There are no triple rooms at The Lodge, but you can add an extra bed in all rooms in The Treetop Lodge and two extra beds in some rooms. We do not recommend the extra beds for adults, but for children and teenagers up to 13 years old.
Are there any accessible rooms?
Situated at the top of Romeleåsen with a steep hill up to the hotel, we are unfortunately not naturally accessible. However, we have done our best, and one of our rooms is extra large and accessible. There is a parking space at the hotel that can be reserved. Please call us for more information and to see how we can accommodate your needs.
Do the rooms have TVs?
At The Lodge, we want you to enjoy the surroundings, the tranquility, the food, the drinks, the atmosphere, and, most importantly, each other. Therefore, we do not have TVs in the rooms.
Is there a gym?
We have a small gym in Honulele Spa, open daily from 7:30-10:30 AM. Alternatively, we recommend taking the opportunity to walk or jog on the green (2.2 km) or blue trail (5.3 km) here at Romeleåsen.
Is there a minimum age for staying at the hotel?
To book an overnight or spa package with us, you must be over 18 years old. We do not accept groups without at least one adult.
What activities are available in the surroundings?
Romeleåsen and “Väderkullen,” where The Lodge is located, offer diverse nature and are part of the popular Skåneleden. Beech forests, meadows, spruce forests, pine forests, and many impressive views. The highest point, Romeleklint, is 175 meters above sea level and a must-see on a pleasant hike.
The blue trail takes you there and is about 5.5 km round trip (quite hilly). There is also a shorter 2.2 km trail (green) with a quiz walk – ask at the reception for a pen and answer sheet if you’d like to participate!
A short distance from The Lodge, you can cycle on a rail bike from April to October. This involves cycling a short distance on the old railway between Lund and Sjöbo, a fantastic nature experience not to be missed. We are happy to help with bookings.
You can rent mountain bikes through one of our local partners, so book well in advance. There are several scenic golf courses nearby, such as Romeleåsen Golf Club, Sjöbo Golf Club, The National (formerly PGA), and Naturligtvis Golf & Country Club.
Whether you cycle on a rail bike, hike, or ride on our lovely gravel roads, a delightful picnic is the perfect finishing touch. You can order one from us, no later than the day before.
Is there free Wi-Fi?
Yes, there is free Wi-Fi.
Lost and found items
If you have forgotten something in your room, we will call you on the same day you check out to ask if you want to pick it up or if we should send it to you (cash on delivery, at your expense). These items are sent once a week. If you forgot something in our public areas or at Honulele Spa (and we do not know who it belongs to), we will keep it for one month before donating it to charity.
Please note that you are responsible for lost items. We do not take any financial responsibility for lost items, whether before they are found or while waiting to be collected (or if sent by post). This applies even if you have confirmed with us by phone or email that the items have been found and stored at reception. Therefore, please collect them as soon as possible. If the items are to be posted, we recommend paying for trackable delivery.
Are there irons in the rooms?
Steamers are available in every room.
Are there toiletries available in the rooms?
All rooms are equipped with shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and body lotion from L:a Bruket. If you wish to purchase products from their range, you can find them in our shop at reception. Any missing products from the room at check-out will be charged afterwards. All thefts will be reported to the police.
Honulele Spa
Honulele Spa is the name of our spectacular spa high above the treetops. Read more about Honulele Spa here.
When should spa treatments be booked?
As soon as possible, preferably when you book your spa package to ensure you get the times you want. Click here to view our treatment menu.
Can two people get treatments at the same time in the same room?
No, all treatments are done individually, one person per room.
Are children welcome at the hotel and spa?
Most guests at the hotel have chosen to leave their children at home. We strive to provide a quiet, peaceful, and restful environment for our guests, which we hope parents bringing children will respect and appreciate. Our spa has a minimum age limit of 13 years, without exception. Flat
rate for children on all overnight packages: 995 SEK/night/child 2-12 years old. Children 13 years and older are considered adults. One child under 2 years old sleeping in the parents’ bed is free. Extra cot: 395 SEK. Please inform us at the time of booking if a child-friendly menu is desired. If you choose to bring children to The Lodge, it is your responsibility as a parent to supervise them at all times during your stay, as we are not a child-friendly hotel. We also ask that you, as a parent, respect that the environment should be quiet and peaceful to allow relaxation and recovery for those who have chosen to visit without their own children.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, in two of our Lexington Cabins, you can bring a calm, adult dog for an additional fee of 400 SEK. You cannot bring a dog without informing us in advance, as we schedule an extra allergy cleaning after a dog has stayed in the room. The dog is brought at the owner’s responsibility and must not disturb other guests. Dogs are generally not allowed inside the Heaven restaurant (except for resident dogs, which are assigned a separate table in the restaurant) and must not be tied up outside without supervision. Calm dogs are warmly welcome on our veranda with outdoor seating (entrance from the courtyard)!
What does dinner consist of?
We serve a set menu composed by the kitchen based on the season (changed four times a year). If you have any dietary requirements, please let us know when booking or as early as possible before arrival. You can find the current menu here.
Is lunch or smaller dishes served?
During the conference season, we serve a two-course lunch, and on other days/seasons, we offer Afternoon Tea Party. Read more about our menus here.
