When can we check in and out?
Rooms are guaranteed to be ready by 2:00 PM, after which you can check in. If you anticipate arriving after 6:00 PM in the evening, we would appreciate if you let us know in advance. The latest check-out time on the day of departure is 11:00 AM. There is the possibility to book “Sunday Lay-In” with no extra cost, i.e. later check-out for a limited number of rooms. Ask us when you book.
Can I pay with cash?
No, The Lodge is cash-free. We accept most credit cards.
What time is breakfast served?
On weekdays, our breakfast buffet is served between 7:00-9:30 AM and on weekends/holidays/during summer season it is served between 8:00-10:00 AM.
What parking options are available?
We have a free outdoor parking lot just below the hill leading up to the hotel. However, it is possible to drive all the way up to the hotel and drop off luggage & passengers for those who wish. We have a handicap parking space close to the hotel, please contact us in advance if you wish to use this. A hired security company makes rounds at the parking lot during nighttime, however, we recommend that no valuables are left visible in the car.
Can I charge my electric car?
On our parking lot, there are 4 charging stations with the possibility to charge up to 8 electric cars. Remember to bring your own charging cable (not available at The Lodge).
How many rooms are there at The Lodge?
We have 22 double rooms, for a total of 44 beds. In the Treetop Lodge there are 12 double rooms and one suite, all with a fantastic view of the Skåne countryside to the west. There are also nine cabins (separate small houses), three of which are completely detached and the remaining six are semi-detached, two and two, with a small porch in between. All cabins are surrounded by greenery and are connected to the rest of the facility through illuminated wooden walkways. All of our rooms have the same standard, but are decorated in different themes. The suite has a bathtub.
What is the difference between the rooms in the Tree Top Lodge and Cabins?
In the Treetop Lodge, the rooms are about 25 sqm in size and have a work desk, an armchair or rocking chair, and cabinets for clothes. The suite is 35 sqm large and has a wonderful bay window above the bed where you have panoramic views of the Skåne landscape when you wake up in the morning. It is also the only room that has a bathtub, and the tub and shower is placed in the middle of the room. There is a separate toilet.
The nine cabins are connected to the rest of the area via illuminated wooden walkways. They have been recently redecorated (during summer 2017) in cooperation with Lexington Company AB and turned into Lexington Cabins. All cabins now have different color schemes, and everything from wallpaper to textiles comes from Lexington’s latest collection. Cabin no. 14, 15 and 16 are closest to the main building, while cabins no. 17-22 are semi-detached, having a small porch in between. The living space is about 18 sqm in our cabins and unlike the rooms in Treetop, there is no desk, only a rocking chair. We do not recommend extra beds in our cabins due to the floor space size.
Are there any triple rooms?
There are no triple rooms at The Lodge, however, an extra bed can be added to all rooms in The Treetop Lodge and two extra beds can be added to some rooms. We do not recommend the extra beds for adults, but rather for children and young adults up to 13 years old.
Is there a handicap-adapted room?
Due to our location on the top of Romeleåsen and a steep hill leading up to the hotel, we are not naturally handicap-adapted. However, we have done our best and one of our rooms is extra large and handicap-adapted. There is a parking spot that can be pre-booked near the hotel. Please give us a call for more information and to see how we can accommodate your needs.
Are there TVs in the rooms?
Here at The Lodge, we want you to enjoy the surroundings, the stillness, the food, the drinks, the atmosphere and not least each other. Therefore, we do not have TVs in the rooms.
Is there a gym?
We have a small gym at Honulele Spa that is open every day between 7:30am-10:30am. Alternatively, we recommend taking a walk or jog on the green (2.2 km) or blue (5.3 km) trail here on Romeleåsen.
Is there a minimum age for staying at the hotel?
To book an overnight or spa package with us, one must be over 18 years old. We do not accept groups without at least one adult.
What are the activities in the surrounding area?
Romeleåsen and “Väderkullen”, where The Lodge is located on the top of, offers a variety of nature and is part of the popular Skåneleden trail. There are beech forests, meadows, pine forests, and tall forests, as well as impressive views in many places. The highest point, Romeleklint, is 175 meters above sea level and is a must-see on a lovely hike. The blue loop takes you there and it is about 5.5 km round trip (very hilly). There is also a shorter hike of 2.2 km (green) with a scavenger hunt – just let us know at the reception and we’ll give you a pen and answer sheet if you want! A short distance from The Lodge, you can bike on the old railway between Lund and Sjöbo from April to October. It’s a great natural experience that you don’t want to miss. We’re happy to help you book it. You can rent mountain bikes through one of our local partners, please book in advance. There are several beautiful golf courses in the area, where we offer discounted green fees and we’re happy to help you book it. Whether you bike on the old railway, hike or cycle on our beautiful gravel roads in the area, a lovely picnic is the icing on the cake. You can order it from us, the latest the day before.
Is there free Wi-Fi?
Yes, there is free Wi-Fi.
What if I forget something at The Lodge?
If you have left something in your room, we will call you the same day you check out to ask if you want to pick it up or if we should send it to you (at your own expense). We will send these items once a week. If you have left something in the common areas of the hotel at Honulele Spa (and we do not know whose it is), we will keep it for a month before donating it to charity. Please note: You are responsible for lost items. We do not take any financial responsibility for lost items, whether before they are found or after they are found and waiting to be picked up (or if they are sent by mail). This also applies if you have checked with us by phone or email that they have been found and we are storing them at the reception. So please pick them up as soon as possible. If items need to be sent by mail, we recommend paying for traceable postage/package.
Do you have irons?
If you would like to borrow an iron or steamer, just let the reception know and you can take one to your room.
All rooms have shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and body lotion to borrow from L:a Bruket. If you would like to purchase any of their products to take home, you can find them in our shop at the reception. Any missing products from the room at check-out will be charged later. All thefts will be reported to the police.
When is the latest time to book treatments at the spa?
As soon as possible, preferably when booking your spa package to ensure you get the desired time slots. Click here for our treatment menu.
Can you get two treatments at the same time in the same room?
No, all treatments are done with one person per room. However, it is often possible to receive treatments at the same time if desired, as there are four treatment rooms in Honulele Spa.
Are children welcome at the hotel and spa?
Most guests at the hotel have chosen to leave their own children at home. We strive to provide guests with a calm, quiet and peaceful environment, which we hope parents of the children who accompany them respect and value. Our spa has a minimum age limit of 13 without exception. The unit price for children in all overnight packages is 995 SEK/night/child 2-12 years old. If you are over 13 years old, you will be counted as an adult. A child under 2 years old sleeping in the parents’ bed is free. Additional child bed: 395 SEK. Please inform us at the time of booking if a child-friendly menu is desired. If you choose to bring children to The Lodge, it is your responsibility as a parent, and we emphasize that it is important not to leave the child unsupervised during any part of the stay with us. We are not a child-friendly hotel. We also wish that you as a parent respect that it should be a quiet and peaceful environment that provides time for relaxation and recovery for those who have chosen to come here without their own children.
FÅR MAN HA HUND MED SIG?
Ja, i en av våra Lexington Cabins går det bra att ha med sig en fullvuxen lugn hund mot ett tillägg på 400 kr per natt (du kan inte ta med dig en valp). Det går inte att ta med sig hund utan att ha meddelat oss i förväg då vi bokar in ett extra allergistäd efter att en hund har vistats i rum 18 (därav kostnaden). Hunden får inte tas med på ägarens fulla ansvar (se över försäkringar osv) då vi inte är ett djuranpassat hotell. Eventuella skador som uppkommer i rummet eller vår övriga miljö, på grund av hund, debiteras. Hundar är inte tillåtna i The Main Lodge, i restaurang Heaven eller ute på vårt trädäck/uteservering, och får inte heller bindas utomhus utan tillsyn.

What is your cancellation policy?
Our cancellation policy for private events and hotel packages is as follows; most reservations can be cancelled without charge up until 12:00 PM the day before arrival. After that, no refunds will be given. If there are other cancellation policies applicable to a specific package, this will be noted in the package details. For conference bookings and group bookings, we follow the general rules and agreements of Visita regarding cancellation policies, as outlined in your quote/confirmation.
For group bookings of all types, including groups of more than 6 people and special events, different cancellation rules apply.
Cancellation policy for confirmed special packages or group bookings (6-9 people):
Cancellations made later than one week prior to arrival will result in a 50% charge of the cancellation value. Cancellations made later than 12:00 PM the day before arrival will result in a 100% charge of the cancellation value.
Cancellation policy for confirmed group bookings (more than 9 people):
Cancellations made later than 4 weeks prior to arrival will result in a 50% charge of the cancellation value. Cancellations made later than 2 weeks prior to arrival will result in a 75% charge of the cancellation value. Cancellations made later than one week prior to arrival will result in a 100% charge of the cancellation value.
