Hur har ni öppet under Corona-perioden?
Under Corona är bekant inget riktigt som vanligt. The Lodge, restaurang Heaven och nya Honulele Spa är helt stängt fram till den 28 juli.
Vi har därefter begränsade öppettider och tar emot ett begränsat antal gäster varje dag. Vi har öppet för incheckning tisdagar-lördagar, och vi öppnar hotellet kl 11:00 på tisdagar och stänger efter utcheckning på söndagen, kl 12:00. Vi serverar inte Heavenly Brunch under corona perioden och vi tar inte in extra gäster för BBQ Sharing, utöver de som bor över på hotellet. Men det går fint att komma hit och njuta av vår Lounge Menu mellan kl 11-17 tisdagar-lördagar. Då vi enbart serverar lounge menyn vid “vartannat bord” vill vi göra dig uppmärksam på att vi vid vissa tillfällen därför snabbt kan bli fullbokade. När Coronaperioden är över igen börjar vi åter med våra “ordinarie” serveringar av brunch och kvällsmeny även för icke boende gäster. Honulele Spa kommer att vara öppet med ett begränsat antal gäster, från och med den 28 juli, tisdagar-söndagar. Se fliken om Honulele Spa för mer information.
When can I check in?
Our rooms are ready from 15.oo h for check-in. If you plan to arrive after 22.oo h, we would be grateful if you could let us know in advance. Latest check-out on departure day is at 10.oo, Monday to Friday and at 11.oo, on Saturdays and Sundays. On Sunday you can get a “Sunday stay-in-bed”, ie, later check out. Please ask us when booking!
Can I pay in cash?
No, from January 2019 the entire The Lodge is cash-free. We accept most creditcards and also Swedish Swish.
What time is breakfast served?
On weekdays our breakfast buffet is being served from 7.oo – 9.oo and during the weekend from 8.oo – 10.oo. During our summer season and “Summer Loving” package, breakfast will be served between 8.oo-10.oo every day of the week.
What parking facilities are available?
We have a free car park just below the hill that leads up to the hotel. You can drive all the way up to the hotel to drop off luggage and passengers if you wish. We have a handicapped accessible parking space close to the hotel.
We have engaged a security company, watching the car park at night; however, we recommend that no valuables are left visible in the car.
Can I charge my electric car?
On our parking there are 4 charging stations with the possibility to charge up to 8 electric cars, remember to bring your own charging cable (not available at The Lodge).
How many rooms are there at The Lodge?
We have at our disposal 22 double rooms, 44 beds in total. In Treetop Lodge there are 12 double rooms and one suite, all with a great view towards the countryside of Skåne. There are also nine Lexington cabins, three of which are completely detached and the remaining six semidetached two and two, with a little porch in between. All cabins are surrounded by lush greenery. All our rooms have the same standard, but we have tried to stick to various theme, when it comes to the decoration. The cabins have recently been redecorated (during summer 2017) in cooperation with Lexington Company AB.
What is the difference between the rooms in the Tree Top Lodge and Cabins?
In Treetop Lodge the rooms are about 25 sqm in size and feature a work desk, an armchair or rocking chair, and cabinets for clothes. The suite is 35 sqm large and has a wonderful bay window above the bed where you have panoramic views of the landscape of Skåne when you wake up in the morning. It is also the only room that has a bath tub, and the tub and shower is placed in the middle of the room. There is a separate toilet.
Cabin no. 14, 15 and 16 are closest to the main building, while cabins no. 17-22 are semidetached, having a small porch in between. Rooms no 18, 19 and 21 are twin rooms. The living space is about 18 sqm in our cabins and unlike the rooms in Treetop, there is no desk, only a rocking chair. The cabins have recently been redecorated (during summer 2017) in cooperation with Lexington Company AB. The beds are divisible in every room.
Do you have a triple room?
There are no triple rooms at The Lodge, however, we can place an extra bed in all the rooms in Treetop Lodge, and two additional beds in two of the rooms. We do not recommend extra beds for adults, only for children and adolescents up to 13 years.
Is there any room for disabled?
Even though located at the top of Romeleåsen, with a steep hill up to the hotel, you have the possibility to park just outside the reception area. Just let us know in advance so we can reserve this space for you. We have one room with an extra-large bathroom on the ground floor. The entrance to the restaurant and terrace is without any steps for easy access. If you want some more information just give us a call.
What are the activities in the surrounding area?
Romeleåsen, on which top The Lodge is perched, offers a very diverse nature. Beech forest, meadows, spruce, pine, as well as impressive views in many places. The highest point, Romeleklint, is located 175 m above sea level and is a given goal on a nice hike. The blue trail takes you there and it is about 5,5 km round trip (very hilly). There is also a shorter hike of 2.2 km (green trail) with a scavenger hunt – ask the front desk for a questionnaire/reply coupon if you would like to!
Close to The Lodge you can ride a trolley bike, from April until October. You bike on the old railway between Lund and Sjöbo, an amazing experience that you cannot miss. We would be happy to assist you with a reservation.
It is possible to hire mountain bikes directly from us, however we have a limited number, so please book well in advance.
There are several scenic golf courses in our neighborhood, where we can offer discounted green fees and we can also make the booking for you.
Whether you ride a bike or walk on our beautiful gravel roads, a lovely picnic is the glazing of the cake, and you can order it directly from us.
Is there free WiFi?
Yes, there is free WiFi all over the hotel.
Can I borrow an iron?
If you wish to borrow an iron just ask at the front desk.
Are there any skin care products in the room?
In every room, there are exclusive shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and body lotion from L:a Bruket – all at your disposal!

When should I book my treatments?
As soon as possible, preferably when you book your Spa package, so you get the times you want.
Can I book a couples treatment?
We only have small treatments rooms, so all the treatments are performed with one person per room. However, you can often get treatments at the same time if you want.
Are children welcome at the hotel & Spa?
Most of the hotel guests have chosen to leave their children at home. We aim at providing you as our guest, with a peaceful, quiet and restful environment, which we hope will be respected, and valued, also by those parents who arrive with their children. In our Spa we have a strict 13-year limit without exception. Unit price for children on all overnight packages: SEK 795.- / night / children 2-12 years. If you are 13, you are counted as an adult.
One child under 2 years of age sleeping in the parents’ bed is free of charge. Extra cot: SEK 395.- Please let us know at the time of booking, if the child-friendly menu is desired.
Can I bring a dog?
Yes, in one of our Lexington Cabins, it is permitted to bring a mature dog with you for a supplement of SEK 400 per night (you cannot bring a puppy). It is not possible to bring a dog without having notified us in advance since we book an extra allergy cleaning after a dog has been staying in room 18 (hence the cost). The dog must not be left unattended in the room or inside our area and be included in the owner’s full responsibility (review insurance etc.) as we are not an animal-adapted hotel. Any damages that occur in the room or our other environment, due to dog, will be charged. Dogs are not allowed in The Main Lodge, in restaurant Heaven or out on our deck / outside dining area, and must not be tied outdoors without supervision.
Things left behind
Should you have forgotten anything in your room after your stay, we will contact you on the day you checked out, to ask if you want to collect the item or have it sent (at postage cost). If you forget something in our public areas (and we do not know to whom it belongs), we will keep it for a month before we donate it to charity.
Do I need to book a table in the restaurant?
If you have booked a package that includes dinner, there will be a table booked for you, in the restaurant, open at 19.oo h. We only have one sitting per evening. If you have booked a B & B package, you should book a table in the restaurant, either at the reception or by phone +46 46 24 89 05.
Is there an A la Carte in the restaurant?
We serve a set meny every night. A 3-course dinner Monday-Thursday and a 4-course dinner Friday and Saturday, which the chef and staff compose after season (changing approx every 6 weeks). In the summertime we serve a BBQ menu instead. If you require special food, just tell us when booking, or as early as possible prior to arrival. You’ll find the menu here.
Do you serve lunch or smaller dishes?
Yes, during weekdays we serve ‘the meal of the day’ (‘dagens’), which is a two-course business lunch. You can also order something from our lounge menu, where you will find smaller dishes that you can enjoy in the sitting area in our lounge when we don´t offer any other meal. Read more here…
On Saturdays and Sundays and we serve Heavenly Brunch at 12.oo and 14.oo. These are very popular and usually have to be booked a week in advance. You are also very welcome to enjoy just a cup of coffee any time of the week, but please remember that we often are fully booked!
CAN I USE MY GIFT CARD OR ADVANCE PAYMENT WHICH I BOUGHT / PAYED BEFORE ROMELESTUGAN THE LODGE AB WENT IN CORONA BANKRUPTCY ON MARCH 26, 2020?
In March 2020, our life’s work, Romelestugan The Lodge AB, was at the peak of its popularity with record-high turnover figures, was praised on Tripadvisor, in guest surveys and on social media. Our long-awaited Hawaiian Spa opening was waiting just around the corner. Then came the Corona. In a couple of days, our lives were turned upside down and both phone calls and emails only concerned cancellations. The corona crisis hit – and still strikes – mercilessly against all of us. With the large investments we had recently made and without a crisis package from the government that worked for small businesses, we had to submit our bankruptcy application for Romelestugan The Lodge AB, which came into force on 26/3 2020, with extremely short notice.
In a bankruptcy, as is well known, all assets are added together and distributed to the state and creditors according to a predetermined priority list for which the bankruptcy trustee is responsible. Those of you who have made claims for your purchased gift cards or prepaid stays to the bankruptcy trustee, have received the answer that they are handled last in the order of priority and that they will most likely not be paid back to you. This is how it is in a bankruptcy and it is a risk you take when you buy a gift card from a company. As an entrepreneur, you only go out of bankruptcy with debts and when the new Väderkullen The Lodge AB starts, we are at zero again without having any assets at all from the old company. But friends, as you know, you are incredibly important to us and we want to somehow be able to thank you for being our supporter. Therefore, as a pure goodwill, we want to offer you to be able to use:
- 25% of Romelestugan The Lodge AB the value of the gift card or advance payment at each time you are with us * (applies to values over SEK 1,000), until the validity of the gift card expires. Example: If you have a gift card of SEK 2,000, you can use SEK 500 every time you are with us, divided into 4 times, until the validity period expires (2 years from the date of purchase).
- 50% of Romelestugan The Lodge AB the value of the gift card or advance payment at each time you are with us * (applies to values for SEK 1,000 or less) until the gift card is valid. Example: If you have a gift card of SEK 1,000, you can use SEK 500 every time you are with us, divided into 2 times, until the validity period expires (2 years from the date of purchase).
In this way, we hope to be able to give back some of the value you received from us and that you continue to be our supporter!
